Forever Yours
The roughest of all storms
Came and stayed
For an eternity!
It tore me apart
Into eons of pain!

I lay scattered-
Knowing not
How to weave me
Into myself
Without a string!

Life found you for me.
Calm returned,
As you showered
Drops of yourself
All over.

You knew not
How precious they were-
As they made me “me”!
My eons of pain gave birth to
Little white flowers called “love”!

You knew not
What you meant to me-
As I clasped my little finger
Around yours,
And you let me!

You would stay forever-
I thought,
As you saw me sleep,
Peacefully,
For the first time!

“I am forever yours”
I whispered, waking up-
And found you gone!
It was too late,
I had slept too long!
